FALSE: Bacteria and Viruses can survive on ice cubes and some can even multiply. Our filtered water goes through a UV light, where pathogens and bacteria get eradicated, before going into our machine for production.

FACT: There is a difference in the sanitary quality of ice depending on the manufacturer. Ice is frozen water, but the freezing process not only does not destroy the pathogens that might be present in the water supply, additional pathogens can be introduced to the ice when the ice machine has slime and mold on its surfaces, un-sanitized ice scoops and infected food handlers. And remember, ice comes in contact with other foods and becomes a part of them (e.g. ice in a beverage). Only IPIA Member packaged ice is verified by a third-party auditor as adhering to strict sanitary standards. Plus IPIA ice is the ONLY packaged ice on the market that a consumer can be sure is tested routinely for pathogens at independent laboratories.

We supply high-quality commercial ice in standard 26.4 lb (12 kg) party-sized bags, ideal for events, catering, and retail. Each bag is hygienically packed, sealed for freshness, and clearly labelled with weight and production date. We also offer bulk pallet orders or custom bag sizes for large-scale customers — contact us for custom needs and pricing.

For best results, store the sealed bags in a clean, dry freezer at 0 °F (-18 °C) or colder. Once opened, keep remaining ice in an airtight container to minimize freezer burn and cross-contamination. When properly stored, our ice maintains optimal quality for up to 12 months; however for best clarity and taste, we recommend using within 6 months.
